Do you hold status with British Airways? Are you a bit miffed with the recent Club redesign? Well Air France/KLM are on the lookout for you with a status match for BA Club members.

As of April 15th, Air France/KLM are prepared to match your British Airways status to the equivalent within the Flying Blue scheme. BA Bronze matches to Silver. BA Silver matches to Gold. And BA Gold matches to Platinum.
You get one year of status upon approval. Say your BA status year ends May 1st, and you're unable to fly enough to retain Silver. Match your status to Flying Blue and you'll have Silver equivalent status into 2026.
The benefits do vary for each tier, compared your British Airways status. I think the biggest difference is that free seat selection at booking is only a benefit for Platinum, equivalent of BA Gold.

These benefits do not just apply on Air France/KLM, but to the rest of their Skyteam partners. This includes Virgin Atlantic, Delta, SAS, Air Europe, Korean Air, and many more.
Lastly, this matching of status is run through Status Match. Status Match are a company brought on by airlines to bring in business to themselves. The catch is that the service isn't free. For BA members, the fee for this status matching is £99 regardless of status.
I think this status match from Air France/KLM for BA Club members is a great deal. Under the new BA regime, earning status has become a lot harder. So why not reap the rewards of your airline status for another year with Air France/KLM.
