Why hello there!

 

Welcome to Points Well Made.

 

We are Sam and Helena, a married couple from Hampshire, England, who just want to travel more!

We started Points Well Made through a sense of frustration. Our personal points journey is a relatively short one (so far) having been fortunate enough to start in 2019. Starting out with the free British Airways American Express and collecting points slowly but surely. People would ask us why we were paying for things with it, were we in fact compensating for something…

We would then explain that for everything we spend, we earn Avios points, and ultimately we’ll be able to club them all together for a free flight! “That’s amazing, I never knew you could do that” is what they would all mostly say, and then they’d say “I should really be doing this…”

 

YES.

 

Everyone should be taking advantage of this system that exists around us. And here comes the frustration, they would never sign up or do anything about it. 

 

This in essence is why we set up Points Well Made, to be the go to place for newcomers into this space, because yes, credit cards can be confusing, and with high interest rates they can seem scary. Our aim is to distil this all down into easy to understand articles so that more people can take advantage of the system and travel in the ways they’ve always dreamed about.
